Russian Post International Service opens the world of rugby for Russian children

Russian Post International Service, the world’s leading logistics provider and the Official Logistics Partner of Rugby World Cup 2015, announces the international project for children – Match Ball Delivery – in Russia. The winner of the creativity competition will travel to one of the RWC matches in England with an honorable mission – delivery of a match ball onto the field before the game starts.

The creativity contest “Rugby and me” will take place between March, 10, and May, 15, and is supported by Russian Rugby Federation. It is intended for children aged 8-12. The competition will be held in two stages: entry applications and creative works of any kind (e.g. drawings, videos, literature, songs) are accepted from March, 10, until April, 10. Based on the results of the 1st stage, 10 finalists will be chosen by a jury composed of representatives of Russian Post International Service, Russian Rugby Federation and media. The 2nd stage implies creating a video where each finalist will explain why he or she is the one to represent Russia at Rugby World Cup Match Ball Delivery. The winner will be chosen by voting of the Russian men’s national rugby team.

The winner of the creativity contest will become one of the 48 lucky children to get the opportunity to deliver the official match ball to referee on field of play in the beginning of one of the matches, two tickets to the match, Russian Post International Service RWC uniform, rugby ball and other souvenirs. Russian Post International Service will provide flight tickets and accommodation in England. All finalists will receive rugby balls signed by the Russian men’s national rugby team and other gifts.

“Russian Post International Service is happy to open the doors of rugby world for Russian children. It is a fascinating and spectacular sport which gets more and more accessible in our country”, said Anna Klinskova, Head of Sales and Marketing. “Match Ball Delivery project gives participants an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and get priceless impression while becoming a hero of a global sports event“.
